How AI Tools Mentor Earns Revenue
AI Tools Mentor is a free service. We earn revenue through affiliate partnerships with some of the AI tool providers featured on our site. When you click on a link to a tool and subsequently subscribe or make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.
This page exists because transparency matters to us — and because the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires clear disclosure of affiliate relationships.
Our Independence Promise
We want to be direct about this: affiliate commissions never influence our recommendations, rankings, or AI Fit Scores. Here's how we ensure that:
- Our scoring algorithm does not include any variable for "has affiliate program" — the code is the same whether a tool pays us or not
- Many of our highest-scored tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) have no affiliate program at all — we recommend them because they're genuinely good
- We recommend free tools and open-source alternatives (FLUX, NotebookLM, Cline) that generate zero revenue for us, because they're the right choice for certain users
- Our comparison pages show winners based on benchmarks and real data, not on which tool pays more
Tools With Affiliate Programs
The following tools have affiliate programs that we participate in or have applied to. If you sign up through our links, we may earn a commission:
- HubSpot
- Jasper AI
- Copy.ai
- Semrush
- ElevenLabs
- Synthesia
- Zapier
- Make
- Freshdesk (Freshworks)
- Intercom
- Suno
- Adobe (Firefly / Creative Cloud)
Tools Without Affiliate Programs
The majority of tools on our site — including Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Claude Code, Midjourney, DALL-E, Runway, Sora, Pika, FLUX, Canva, Figma, Notion, and many others — have no affiliate program. We link directly to their official websites. We recommend them purely because they're good tools.
If any of these tools launch affiliate programs in the future, we will update this page. Our recommendations will not change as a result.
How Affiliate Links Work
Some links on our site contain tracking parameters (e.g. ?via=aitoolsmentor or a partner ID). These parameters tell the tool provider that you were referred by AI Tools Mentor. They do not contain your personal information and do not affect the price you pay.
You always pay the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the provider's website. Affiliate commissions come from the provider's marketing budget, not from your subscription fee.
Where You'll See Affiliate Links
Affiliate links may appear in:
- Tool detail pages (the "Visit [Tool Name]" or "Try [Tool Name]" buttons)
- Comparison pages
- Blog articles that mention specific tools
- The AI Stack Report (PDF)
Not every link on our site is an affiliate link. Links to tools without affiliate programs are standard, non-tracked links to official websites.
Questions?
If you have questions about our affiliate relationships or want to verify whether a specific recommendation is influenced by affiliate revenue (it isn't), contact us at legal@aitoolsmentor.com.
Bottom line: We built AI Tools Mentor to help people find the right tools. Affiliate revenue keeps the site free and the lights on. If we ever have to choose between earning a commission and giving you the right recommendation, we'll give you the right recommendation every time. That's not marketing — it's the only way a recommendation site stays credible.
